Resources for your future

KUDOS

Kudos is an on-line tool which supports young people with the information they need to make important decisions about future careers and what subjects, courses and training they can do to reach their career goals. It also helps providers deliver independent and impartial information and advice as well as supporting the delivery of a number of the Gatsby benchmarks.

For young people who are unsure what careers they might be interested in, Kudos can give ideas based on what they like and dislike. They can also discover what careers their subjects can lead to.

Packed with information on what employers are looking for, pay and what qualifications they’ll need, Kudos is a great way to help them explore their future.

To find out more, go to the IKIC website and click on the KUDOS logo. For any technical issues, go to https://kudos.cascaid.co.uk/ or telephone 01509 226879

UCAS Progress

UCAS Progress supports young people to search, explore and compare post-16 opportunities at schools, academies, colleges and work-based learning providers in and around Barnsley. It also supports schools to deliver their statutory duties with regard to giving independent and impartial information about post-16 options.

To access it, go to the IKIC website and click on the UCAS Progress logo.

Following consultation and analysis, Barnsley no longer subscribes to the on-line application element of UCAS Progress: if young people want to use this to apply for post-16 opportunities, they can self-register free of charge.

Providers who wish to receive on-line applications will need to purchase a license from UCAS Progress: www.ucasprogress.com. For any technical issues, contact: 01242 223713.
