Foundation Degree in Community Football Coaching and Development @ Reds in the Community – In partnership with University South Wales

Location: Oakwell, Barnsley
Hours: 16 Hours Per Week
Cost: £8,000 – Student Finance available for tuition fees and student maintenance loan
Entry requirements:  2 GCSEs at grade C or above in Maths and English. Level 3 qualification such as A levels or BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport at minimum MMM level. Must also already have FA Level 1 coaching certificate.
Details: Students will spend time during the working week out coaching at a variety of locations, including Oakwell stadium, primary schools across Barnsley and various sports engagement activities across Barnsley.
Students will spend one day studying units such as; Football Event Management, Introduction to sports science for football, football coaching: Theory to Practice, Technical planning and reflective practice in football.

These units will equip the student with the knowledge and skills needed to carry out the duties of a football coach or work within the football industry.
