Community Sports Coach Apprenticeship @ Reds in the Community

Location: Oakwell, Barnsley

Hours: 30 hours per week

Pay: National Apprenticeship rates

Entry requirements: Aged 16 – 18, 2 GCSEs at grade C or above in Maths and English

Previous experience in assisting a sports coach desirable but not essential

Details: Students will spend the majority of the working week out coaching at a variety of locations, including Oakwell stadium, primary schools across Barnsley and various sports engagement activities across Barnsley.
Students will spend one day studying level 2 Employment Awareness and level 2 Activity Leadership, which will equip the apprentice with the knowledge and skills needed to carry out the duties of a community sports coach.

Entry requirements:

A minimum of 30 hours coaching experience and previously studied a level 2 or 3 in sport with a merit/distinction grade profile.
